I do and honestly, I'd be mad not to. It's a fantastic tool for writing code. It means I can get things done much faster than I could before, and these are savings that I pass on to my clients.

However, the code that AI generates is not always perfect. Thankfully, I had been coding for many years before AI coding was a thing. So, unlike many new "vibe coders" out there, I understand all the code that AI generates. I know how it works, the things to look out for and when to correct or steer so it's not doing anything silly or unnecessary.

These days, most of my bespoke websites and tools are built with React via a framework like NextJS or Astro.

I integrate these with various services and APIs (e.g. Stripe, Supabase, Notion, Google Calendar etc) The possibilities are endless. This is the stuff I like to sink my teeth into.

It's very tricky to say as the scale of projects can vary massively, but as a general rule, simple websites start at as little as £350. However a full scale web application, or customised dashboard will obviously be more.

I do. However, they aren't an area of focus for me. They are an example of where I advise using templates like Shopify or Squarespace, and though I've worked on multiple projects that use them, that's not typically my speciality.

Additionally, if you want to integrate a payment system, a subscription plan, booking systems into a bespoke website, or build a fancy brochure site to go alongside your online store, that’s the sort of thing I love to do.

Maybe... Site-builders like Squarespace, Wix & Webflow can be great for getting something published quickly & easily & their templates are often nicely designed.

Sometimes that's all you need and I'm always honest with clients if I feel that is the best option for them.

However, there are lots of reasons why a bespoke solution can be more beneficial:

• Total flexibility in design (templates can be quite samey).
• Site load speeds & navigation are normally faster (giving better user experience and SEO performance)
• Site builders can be frustrating to learn if you are “DIYing” your site. Unless you know what you're doing it can be a false economy in terms of your time spent working on it.
• Simple brochure sites that don't get updated much built by me often work out cheaper in the long run, as my monthly charges for those are cheaper than those offered by site builders.

Though I've done plenty of it in the past, I don't specialise in branding and logo design.
